How to Calculate Your Meesho Listing Price

Updated

What it is

Steps

  1. Work out your cost of goods: product cost + packaging.
  2. Decide your margin: the profit you want on each order, in rupees.
  3. Add your ads cost per order: your monthly Meesho ads spend divided by your orders that month.
  4. Add your returns cost per order: your average return and RTO cost, spread across all orders.
  5. Add promotions: the % discount you plan to offer, if any.
  6. Add GST: your product's GST rate. Check it with your CA.

Questions

Do I need to add shipping to my Meesho price?

No. Meesho adds shipping when it lists your product for buyers, so enter the price you want to receive.

Does Meesho charge commission?

Meesho states it charges 0% commission. Check Meesho's current rate card, as charges can change.

How do I work out my returns cost per order?

Multiply your return rate by your average cost per return. For example, if 1 in 10 orders comes back and each costs you ₹150, enter ₹15.

Why is my Meesho payment less than I expected?

TCS, TDS, return charges, claims and ads are all deducted from your payments. Reconciliation shows each one, order by order.
